Mayoral Candidate Caught Fabricating Entire Military Career, Immediately Surges in Polls
Vice City mayoral candidate Tom "Gunner" Harwick, whose campaign had stalled at 11% for six weeks, jumped to 34% overnight following a Vice City Enquirer investigation revealing he had fabricated a decorated military career spanning three conflicts, two of which did not occur. Voters contacted by this publication said the revelation made Harwick "seem more interesting" and that "at least he committed to something." His campaign has since leaned into the story. Harwick will not confirm or deny a new biography being sold on his campaign website titled "Behind Enemy Lines: A Vice City Story." It is his second-best fundraising week of the year.
