Man Arrested for Stealing Hurricane Shutters on a Clear Day, Cites "Proactive Planning"
Vice City resident Leonard Grubs, 55, was charged with theft Tuesday after removing hurricane shutters from four neighbouring homes on a clear, calm morning with a projected ten-day dry forecast. Grubs, cited by his own defence attorney for "exceptional planning ahead," told officers he'd read that supply chains "could be a problem" and wanted to secure materials "before the rush." The neighbours, none of whom had been consulted, noted it was May. Grubs' own home has no shutters. He reportedly took all of them.
